Biblical Meditation

Biblical Meditation (1 ½ to 3 hrs). Christians are rediscovering the art of meditation, but its importance has never been in question. Remember the story of Joshua? He once found himself in charge of a migration and was feeling the weight of responsibility. What was God’s advice? Get yourself organized, train more surveyors, scouts and troops?

No. He told Joshua to meditate.

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.” (Jos. 1:8)

God doesn’t throw out a suggestion – he commands us to meditate. It is the first thing to do, not the last thing to do when we have spare time.  But what does meditation mean and how do we meditate?
